UBa Lays Plan for June 1st Resumption of Classes

The University of Bamenda Lays out its Plan for the Resumption of Lectures on Campus, come June 1st, 2020



The Vice-Chancellor of The University of Bamenda has issued a timetable for resumption of classes for all establishments of the university.

In a communiqué signed Friday, May 22, Prof Theresia Nkuo-Akenji authorizes complimentary lectures on campus on weekly schedules for the different establishments.

The 12 establishments have been split into four groups (A, B, C & D) with each group to run for a week or more.

The classes which shall include practicals and examinations shall span from June 1 to July 31, 2020.

Strict measures have been put in place to ensure hygienic conditions, social distancing and schedule provided for each establishment are respected on campus.

The group distributions are schedulled as follows:

  • Group A : HTTC, HTTTC, HITL (June 1st to June 20th 2020)
  • Group B : FED, FEMS, HICM (June 21st to July 4th 2020)
  • Group C : NAHPI, FS, FLPS (July 5th to July 16th 2020)
  • Group D : FA, FHS**, COLTECH (July 17th to July 31st 2020)

** Above deadline not applicable to FHS students on clinical rotation at the Regional Hospital and those sitting for national exams (see D/FHS for clinical rotation schedule).


Therefore, with the exception of Faculty of Health Sciences with some of their classes holding at Bamenda Regional Hospital, staff and students of UBa are expected to round off class work on July 31.

Meantime, the online classes which have been on for close to two months now are still in full gear.
